Hello

Today is called International Migrants Day.

Yay! Happy my day! 🥳

I am a migrant, yes I am. I have migrated to Germany 2 years ago. I like to write a little bit about my experience and happy moments at my beloved company, anynines.

I visited Germany for the first time 5 and a half years ago. Since then, I have felt like this is the place I want to spend the rest of my life. I visited Germany 2 times afterward and Berlin was my first choice all the time. Finally, I was able to get a Job Seeker visa from Germany and pack whatever I could and put them in 40 Kg baggage and come to Germany.

I started seeking jobs a year before getting my visa in 2017, but as I was not in Germany, I never had the chance to attend interviews.

I remember the time that I saw anynines ad on a job platform which I don’t remember the name of and I liked it very much. It just came to my attention like a miracle.

I visited their website, saw the “hive-like” icons for a9s Data Services and I got more interested. Bees and the hive has a very deep and precious feeling for me. They are the symbol of team work and creations for me.

The headquarter is in Saarbrücken, a city near my beloved Paris, and I can work from Berlin. Yay! That’s perfect.

(We have a very beautiful office here in Berlin. Which I miss so much because of the quarantine.🦠)

Cloud Foundry was one of the fields I had no knowledge about and I like a challenge and a place to learn something new.

Long story short, here I am finally, writing about my experiences before anynines and working at anynines.

My experiences before Germany was in the same field of Sales and Marketing but in a wider market. Such as:

  • Online Retail Website as Twitter Marketing Specialist
  • Advertising Agency as the Digital Marketing Specialist
  • Startup Accelerator as Digital Marketing and PR Manager
  • Travel and Leisure Website as the Digital Marketing and Sales Manager

I also had many event organizing experiences in my (kind of) past life such as Startup Weekend, Lean Startup Machine, Startup Grind, and more.

All of my experiences involved lots of writing as I am really in love with writing. For me, writing is even better than talking.

Let’s get back to anynines and my first experience as an employee in Germany. I can say that anynines has increased my expectations from an employer.

Paying attention to all needs, challenges, obstacles, and even personal problems from the team and especially team leader and other colleagues is something that is more than a workplace — maybe a family.

I like to share 2 of my happy moments at anynines with you, I will keep the happiest to myself 😁):

  1. I started working in Berlin, I traveled to Saarbrucken the next month to get to know others. We have a screen in the kitchen area, which I saw my name with a beautiful welcome note. 😍
  2. I remember November 29th, 2019, when my team leader told me that my probation time is over and it’s an official saying of continuing your contract. That was exactly 1 year after my migration and the best anniversary ever. 🤩

So, here I am, working in a job I like, at a company I like and if I go back in time, I will choose anynines again.
